DESCRIPTION: The Cora Ball collects about microfibers from the washing machine into fuzz we can see so we can dispose of the fibers and prevent them from entering our waterways and ocean. It's inspired by the way coral filters in the ocean.
DIRECTIONS: Place your Cora Ball in the washing machine and starts to collect fibers that can be seen within a few weeks (It'll take multiple loads before you start to see collections of fibers). Periodically clean out the fibers. We use cuticle scissors.
IMPACT: Catching microfibers before they enter our waterways in an important step in caring for aquatic life as well as ourselves. National Geographic did a study and found that 90% of table salt contains microplastic.
DISPOSAL: Recycle the Cora Ball with a plastic recycling program, such as through TerraCycle. Labeland string is compostable.
INGREDIENTS: Recycled ocean plastic. Label is paper with plant based string.
